Hi everyone!! Just wondering what drove you all to choose Mechanical engineering as your major! I personally wanted to go into Biomedical, which is mainly a graduate studies program in Canada, so I'm pursuing Mechanical to open that door for me Electrical & Computer engineering would have worked too, but I enjoy the mechanical aspect of BioMed a lot more than the electrical stuff (I'm awful at it) Cheers!

This is a loaded question for me, but I'll try to make it short.
It all started with my love for offroading. I absolutely love off roading and everything that goes with it. Once I actually got into the industry and started working with some of the engineers, I was cemented. I love the every aspect of vehicle dynamics and wish to design and produce my own after market suspension products/vehicles and everything in between in the near future.

The 'Industrial Revolution' which took place in 19th century, leads to the development of modern manufacturing practices, invention of productive machines with greater productivity output, n different methods, skills and principals in entrepreneurship, inspired me to take my graduation in mechanical stream, hence i opted for Industrial Engineering, where i can study both industrial aspects n mechanical aspects...

fell asleep in circuits class, and sucked in chemistry Haha man... I dropped circuits after three days Get to take the "Circuits for non-electricals" course this coming term. Sounds a little more manageable

I got into mechanical during my high school years on the robotics team. I always enjoyed the mechanical side of how things worked like motors and gears and I also loved working on machines to help aid in my designing of parts need for our robot. I could have gone into electrical but it just wasn't what I could see myself doing as a career. For me, working with my hands and being able to create something from scratch is more rewarding and I enjoyed it a whole lot more than trying to program something (although the closer I get graduating, the more basic programming I need to learn since I did not dare touch programming in robotics and the beginning phase of my college career )

I grew up with ASE Certified Mechanics my entire life. By the time I was 7, I knew the difference between a wrench, a ratchet, a socket and a screwdriver and how to use each, plus many more tools. I took Automotive Repair in High School and became certified. When I joined the Army, I upped the anty a little bit and graduated from vehicles to Ratary Wing Aircraft. Mechanics has always been my passion. Mechanical Engineering is another way for me to up the anty a little bit more
