Hey Guys My Name is Tobias Karg and I'm systems engineering stundent in villach, austria (That's the small one in europe, so no kangaroos there ) I'm at the moment in the 4th semester, so I'll get my first degree next summer. Parralel to my study I'm working in the semiconductor industry. it's a company specialized in single wafer spin clean. I just started writing my first thesis (here you have to write of em, to get your bachelor) It's about controlling of coupled mimo system. In my freetime I'm working with some colleagues on a roboters for rescue missions and taking part in competitions with them this year we get 3rd place at the german opens in magdeburg we are already working on a new project, but I won't share too much info right now so far so good if you got any question don't hesitate to ask cheers tobi

Hello Tobias!
Welcome to the forums! That's a cool industry you're working in (Semiconductor devices!). Also, what kind of multiple input multiple output systems are you controlling? Is it practical or theory?

Well it's about temperature controll of wafers
I'm desining my controller for 6 inputs (I can heat at 6 different positions) and 6 outputs (I'm using 6 thermocouples to measure)
as you can imagine when i heat the wafer at one position, i get a response from all sensors, so it's pretty coupled...
i tried different approches for calculating the decoupler, but wasn't very satisfied....no I'm using genetic algorithm to get the thing running
and yeah it's theory and practical combined
more details (espacially concerning the heating) I'm not allowed to share, sorry
