which of the sub fields of ChE do u think are going to be important in the future ? Nanotechnology ? Water Treatement ? Nuclear Sciences ?

In the near future, probably nanotechnology and materials, but in a more distant future, when freshwater sources become scarce, definitely water treatment.

For the time being, any process related to LNG production, storage and transport. The huge shale gas finds in the US/Canada have created a huge technology boom that needs filled.
