So, since we AEROs are banished to the basement called "Others" as well, James and I figured we should take a cue from FPEPro and start a thread for our field of engineering in all of its various forms. So feel free to discuss whatever!

Aero is sort of Mechanical, maybe we should ask to swap places and relegate them to the 'others'

Aerospace engineers study more fluids than us mechanical engineers in most cases.

I don't know about us Aeros in general studying more fluids than Mechies, but we most definitely focus almost entirely on gases - even to the almost-total exclusion of liquids which I would assume is more focused on in Mechanical. I've only been asked a few questions in class about liquids, and most of the time, it was "What stagnation temperature must this flow have to avoid liquefaction in a wind tunnel test section?" or "calculate the speed of sound in water." >_>
That being said, the aerodynamicists specifically do study more fluids than mechies, but for everyone else, it's not really necessary.
