It happened to me a week ago: I had a competition on Sunday (disabled swimming) 300km away from home, and I only got home at 2am. The next day, I had a final at 9am... Yeah, I can say that I was lucky by waking up 10min before the exam, though having my phone ringing for 1 hour... Fortunately, I've managed to get in my car in 5min. I've arrived to my Faculty by 9h15, and the professors have let me in

Had a student once who didn't know which way to solder in a resistor. Actually got him to believe that you need to take care that you don't put it in in reverse, and that the golden ring on the end marks the negative pole of the resistor. Also was able to convince him that you could tell from the golden ring, that the resistor was alright and still working - because the golden ring is also a self-check ring that turns black when the resistor is broken. Definitely made my day then but is also kind of sad
